This year, Iowa Pride Network’s Student Day at the Capitol joins forces with One Iowa’s LGBTQ Day on the Hill. Students are the future of our movement, and now more than ever we must join together to take a stand for equality.
You will learn about the legislative process and the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of speaking to legislators. We’ll help you frame the issues important to you so you can effectively advocate as a student and a member of the LGBTQ or ally community.
You will also have the opportunity to network with Iowa LGBTQ community leaders and GSA members from across the state.
Registration deadline: Monday, January 9th
If you have any questions about registration or the event, contact Iowa Pride Network Coordinator Sandra Zapata at firstname.lastname@example.org or 515-288-4019 x212.
